Meet the Team

Mario Bruendel, CEO and Entrepreneur

brings 20 years of expertise in logistics and supply chain performance on a global scale. His scope of experience extends over a range of functions, including strategic analysis, import and export operations, distribution flow, negotiations, customer relationship management, inventory control and purchasing. Through innovation, modern technology and vision, Mario streamlined the supply chain process, expanding his network of vendors worldwide. This alone allowed him to tap into supply anywhere and everywhere, increasing his ability to meet growing demands with expedited quality service, all while providing consumers with competitive pricing.

Mario is a leading player in the shipping, logistics and supply chain sphere. He holds an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University.

Brian Castle C.I.S., V.P. – Entrepreneur

Brian, referred to often as Castle resides in Arizona and has over 15+ years’ experience in Venture Capitalism, Sales, Insurance and Real Estate Development. Brian has an extensive background in underwriting risk and has built relationships with 1000’s of CEO’s across the US in all scopes of industry through his consulting service. With unlimited access to the decision makers, we brought those relationships forward creating an immediate customer base for our gloves. Upon joining forces and bridging resources we have created a business model second to none that enables us to provide premium product and service at a discounted rate. Castles experience and successful track record in building a brand and team, securing customers and executing on his promises makes him a pillar of this entity.

Director of Sales – Western Division – Kevin Reid

Kevin has over 20 years experience in sales and employee benefits design, communication and implementation.  Being able to manage, cultivate, and grow relationships with business owners and HR teams, has been a cornerstone of success.  With an HR and General Management background, Kevin understands the challenges facing the current business and employment climate.  Working for small businesses, mid-sized regional, and large national corporations has provided a unique perspective to the Xport Distribution team.

Territory Manager – Nevada – John Hale

John is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served, honorably, as an Instrumentation Specialist on the T- 38, F – 16, F – 4, C -141, C-5, and the F -15 aircraft. John later joined the Department of Defense as a GS – 11 where he worked on several research and development flight test teams amassing over 1000 flight hours on the C 17, C -141, C -130, and KC -10 aircraft. Following, John joined JT 3as an Operational Engineer for the C- 17 and C – 130 flight test program. He also owned / sold a software startup company and now works as the Nevada territory executive for Xport Distribution facilitating his military expertise to the operational efficiencies for delivery and customer service.

Web Developer – Internet Marketing – Tara Samons

Tara Samons has over 20 years experience in software and web development. She has worked as the leading graphic artist for studios and as an operating manager for manufacturers as well. With experience in both programming and design, she has implemented many large scale projects contributing to system designs and interface functionality.  She owns her own web development company and graphic design studio working with both small businesses and large corporations. She enjoys creating IT solutions that work with generating online sales that seamlessly integrate with inventory management and order processing.

Sales Executive – Erik Philips

Erik has been in the food industry for over 20 yrs. He has worked in all aspects including; Customer Service, Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, Sales, and Operation Management. He also assisted in the building of process procedure, and flow for a food manufacturing and distribution company from a start-up to a $6 million a year run rate in under 5 years as well as created a cross functional team nationwide. Erik spent the last 5 years training warehouse employees to follow food safety and OSHA safety guidelines. Enhancing the PPE programs to ensure workplace safety for 1500 warehouse employees are compliant with city, state , and national requirements.

Sales Executive – Kyle Teixeira

Over 10 years of owning and operating small businesses, where quality product and service has been the number one priority. Consult for other businesses allowing them  to cut costs, providing a quality product, while increasing their bottom line. Taking his experience and skill set working with consumers to provide them the best possible product for the best possible price. Values building long term real relationships with his customers to grow together.

Director of National Sales – Robert Hubler

For over 3 decades Robert has managed high end residential electrical contracts. Leading teams of electricians, working in purchasing, inventory management and project management, he is familiar with networking and leadership. He has also worked with major retailers in warehousing and order fulfillments to ensure customer satisfaction on a national scale.

His vast experience in project management and customer service allows him to effectively communicate with clients and understand their needs for each order. He has also managed a waste management company, speaking directly with clients for their needs, maintaining the delivery schedules for production and providing optimal customer service and follow through. Robert works as a integral part of the Xport team, handling customer fulfillment while also reaching out to new clients for their specific needs. Vice President of Sales for the Western Region – Erin Sanchez

She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary and Special Education from Northern Arizona University. She also holds a Masters Degree in Counseling out of Northern Arizona University. She is a licensed counselor and educator in the state of Arizona and spent 15 years working closely with students, individuals and families who have been diagnosed with varying special needs. She has experience working with people of all ages, from birth to 99. Of her years in education and mental health she spent nine years in special education working with students who have been diagnosed with low incidence disabilities and Autism. She spent two years working with collegiate students who were on their way to becoming educators, and four years as a counselor and coach. Her last year in the field was spent as an elementary school counselor in Lake Havasu City, AZ. This was by far her favorite year and a great way to kick off her retirement from this aspect of her career journey.

Prior to education, Erin worked in the food industry as a hostess, server, bartender and manager. Needless to say, her experience has helped her learn what companies and employees need to work effectively. This time spent in food service, in conjunction with her extensive experience in listening and communicating with others brings a supportive and unique skillset to our sales team.

Erin takes pride in our dependable products, our family-oriented staff and the vision of Xport Distribution. Corporate Sales – West Coast – Stephanie Griffin

Stephanie Griffin is an accomplished sales professional with over 20 years experience in technical sales and order management. Stephanie is experienced in handling multi-million dollar territories and management of large volume orders exceeding over 100,000,000 in sales revenue. She has held multiple leadership roles ranging from Project Manager to Procurement Account Manager which comes in handy when onboarding a new company and understanding the inner workings of procurement and fulfilment.

This experience makes transitioning to our company seamless and much more efficient as Stephanie is well versed in both aspects of the transition process. Stephanie sets herself above the rest with consistent professionalism and follow up. XD is fortunate to have such a strong and independent woman at the helm of our corporate accounts.

Sales Executive – Travis Doerfler

Travis is a Flagstaff local since 2006 and has been involved in the community since arriving. After graduating from NAU in 2011 with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Science, he began to put his roots down. Travis became the Director of the NAU Cheer Team, leading them to a National Title and is currently the Varsity Cheer Coach for Flagstaff High School where they consistently place in the top ten in the state. Being a 4th and 5th Grade teacher at Kinsey Inquiry and Discovery School for the last decade, Travis has worn many hats, and truly enjoys working in his field of passion. His many various positions have made him prepared for a seamless transition to sales. Travis has begun transitioning into the role of sales executive to allow him to continue this work while also supporting a new family with his wife and baby boy while continuing his passion for teaching.
